| The Local History pages provide information and access to local histories, including biographies, events, gazetters, and links to published local histories. Localities explored in the Local History pages are presently in Western Australia and England (Herefordshire), and also Germany (East Prussia), but will eventually extend to include New South Wales, Victoria, India and Peninsular Malaysia, and possibly other regions in due course. |
"Local History: motives and aims".
'Why study local history? Each has his or her aims and it is worth while occasionally to analyse or re-analyse for oneself the motives for local studies. First we may find local history fun' Francis Celora Teach Yourself Local History, English Universities Press Ltd., London 1958: 3. |
