History in Common is the shopfront of public historian Bruce Baskerville, BA (Hons) (W Aust), DipFHS, APHA.

I am a professional public historian based in the Blue Mountains near Sydney, New South Wales. The Curriculum Vitae page sets out details of my qualifications and experience.

I am an associate member of the Professional Historians' Association (NSW). The PHA(NSW) is the professional body for historians in public practise in New South Wales, with links to PHAs in each state and territory through the Australian Council of Professional Historians' Associations (ACPHA).

The Consultant's Register link provides details about engaging a public historian in New South Wales. The PHA website contains information about the work of public historians, and links to other professional bodies.

I also maintain an electronic journal called Historymatrix for publication of my work in a variety of fields of historical inquiry so as to make this work available to other historians and researchers, and to the public generally.

I am not currently available for commissioned historical work.
